I haven’t been commenting on your work lately and I’m dreadfully sorry because I’ve been enjoying it so much. I’ll start with this one.

This is absolutely delightful. I love it. I love that Bush is a prof here - because of the books’ perspective I think it’s easy to dismiss his intelligence, but he isn’t stupid. He’s a lieutenant in the Royal Navy, he’s passed his exams and is a competent leader. He’s not Horatio smart but he’s probably got a better understanding of maths and physics than I’ve got. (Also U of T? Is Bush Texan? If so a) he’s going to have fun with the other Bushes of Texas, and b) oh that poor Southern boy dealing with winters below freezing. I have a best friend who’s Texan and I get complained at when the weather is lightly chilly.)

I love this au though. It’s so warm and cosy. Oh god Archie and Maria would make SUCH good friends (but also bad, because they’re the sort of friends who will gang up on you for your own good.)
